Beneficiary Designations

Make a Gift in a Few Easy Steps

Not everyone wants to commit to making a gift in their wills or estates. Some prefer the increased flexibility that a beneficiary designation provides by using:

  • IRAs and retirement plans
  • Life insurance policies
  • Donor advised funds
  • Commercial annuities

It is very simple to name MD Anderson as a beneficiary. Start by requesting a change-of-beneficiary form from your policy administrator or download the form from your provider’s website. Make your desired changes and return the form to establish your gift.

Richard Kiekbusch

Richard Kiekbusch

Richard Kiekbusch’s beloved wife, Linda, received exceptional treatment for lung cancer at MD Anderson Cancer Center in 2009. After she passed away in 2020 from unrelated causes, Richard designated his estate for cancer research within MD Anderson’s Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery department to honor her memory.

Richard’s bequest names MD Anderson the beneficiary of his bank accounts and IRA, as well as the retirement package and life insurance policy he receives as a professor at The University of Texas Permian Basin.

“This is an opportunity to have a positive impact on the lives of a lot of people, none of whom I will ever know. That’s how I try to live,” he says.
